The Kerrang Tour 2014 Announced!!

Get ready, the Kerrang! Tour is back for 2014 with 11 huge nights across the UK and Ireland.

Kerrang!, the UK’s biggest selling music weekly magazine, have created another stellar line up for February next year featuring headliners Grammy Award-nominated multiplatinum Florida titans Limp Bizkit, Japanese Metalcore five piece Crossfaith and goblin core band Nekrogoblikon.

Following the success of the 2013 tour, which featured Black Veil Brides, Chiodos, Tonight Alive and Fearless Vampire Killers, Kerrang! always hand pick this year’s the most talked about and hotly tipped bands, and 2014’s line up is no exception.

Nu Metal veterans Limp Bizkit headline this year’s tour. The formidable Fred Durst [vocals], Wes Borland [guitars], Sam Rivers [bass], and John Otto [drums] will be bringing their trademark sound back to the UK. The tour follows a stellar second stage headline set at Download Festival which showed that no band gets the crowd bouncing like Limp Bizkit.  The band recently released the first single off new label Cash Money Records "Ready to Go” featuring Lil Wayne! which smashed the iTunes rock chart. On headlining the tour Fred Durst said:

"It's an honour to headline the Kerrang! Tour. It's a really inspirational and motivational thing for Limp Bizkit. We're going through a pretty amazing phase in our journey and it couldn't have come at a better time. The Kerrang! Tour will be the official launch of [new album] Stampede Of The Disco Elephants. I can't tell you how magical that feels. It's gonna get chaotic and wild!"

Joining Limp Bizkit on the Kerrang! tour are the brilliant Crossfaith, who took on the Rock stage at Reading and Leeds Festival at the weekend. The Japanese metal five piece are due to release new album ‘Apocalyze’ on September 9th and exclusively revealed their latest video Eclipse on Kerrang.com last month. Kenta Koie (vocals) added:

Also on the bill are California’s Nekrogoblikon whose new album ‘power’ received a 5 K review by Kerrang! this week making it a total classic. Since bursting out with 2012 single ‘No One Survives’ fans have been going CRAZY for their monstrous skull-crushing music and caused mayhem on the Pepsi Max stage at Download Festival this summer. Vocalist Nicholas Von Doom said:

They are the first ever Goblin Metal Band and will sure be bringing their biggest fan John Goblikon onto the road.

The fourth and final band will be announced in due course, so watch this space!

“I’m really excited about the 2014 Kerrang! Tour,” says Kerrang! Editor James McMahon. “I’m especially pleased we’ve got the ticket down to £20 because it’s really important for us to provide value for money to the rock fans who are the lifeblood of what we do. Limp Bizkit are basically the Kerrang! office house band - it’s what we play at work to get us through deadlines, and with Crossfaith and Nekrogoblikon joining the bill, I don’t think we’ve ever booked a more fun tour. Big beats, big bleeps and goblins. To paraphrase my grandfather, ‘he who is tired of goblins is tired of life. Get down’.
