DOVES 2021 UK & Ireland Tour Postponed
Rearranged Dates For February and March 2022
Doves The Universal Want 2021 UK and Ireland Tour, originally due to begin next month, has been postponed with all dates rearranged for early 2022. The band has pointed to increased uncertainty, not only in the Covid crisis and the UK’s response to the pandemic, but within the touring music industry as artists rush to make necessary contingency plans, for the Aming of the announcement and some unavoidable venue changes.
A band statement says:
“Hi everyone, Jez, Andy & Jimi here with long-awaited news about next month's dates that many have you have been asking about recently. For obvious reasons we’re unable to make the proposed tour happen, which we’re really gutted about as it was to be our first proper album tour for almost 12 years. We've held of making any announcements unIl we could give you the full details of the new dates which are now scheduled for early next year. With so many bands moving their tours into 2022 booking those dates has been tricky and there are a couple of venue changes due to their availability.Thanks for sticking with us, look after each other and we'll see you next year.”
Amongst the changes to Doves’ touring plans are:
• Two nights in O2 Academy Brixton becomes one, with the second night in London moving to
O2 Forum KenAsh Town
• The Newcastle O2 Academy gig moves to Newcastle O2 City Hall
In all cases, where Acketholders have valid Ackets for a first or second original date they will be transferred to the respecAve first or second, rescheduled date in each town or city. If ticket holders are unable to make any rescheduled dates refunds are available at the point of purchase.
