Dope D.O.D. are a Dutch hip-hop crew that are well known for their strong vocal lines on heavy aggressive beats. The name originates from Mc Dopey Rotten (DOPE) and Skits Vicious & Jay Reaper (Duo of Darkness). These three outspoken characters came together in the Netherlands, but all have strong international roots. Language is clearly no barrier for Dutch hip-hop collective Dope D.O.D. For the past three years they have been at the forefront of a budding European hip-hop scene. Their sound can be described as “a new realm of hard-core hip hop with classic styles and European electronic sound thrown in the mix.

The release of both of their albums ‘Branded’ and ‘Da Roach’ brought the group international success, leading to numerous festivals and club shows all over the globe. In June 2011 Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) saw their hit video ‘What Happened’ and invited the band to become the main support act for Limp Bizkit’s European tour and in November the group then went to the USA to tour with KORN for their ‘Path Of Totality’ Tour. Their international success prompted SXSW to feature Dope D.O.D. as a 2012 Showcasing Artist.

As well as a North American deal with the famous hip hop label Duck Down records. In January 2013, during an internationally broadcasted award show, the group received a European Border Breakers Award for being one of the most booked acts during the European festival summer of 2012. The group has worked with other international hip hop stars, such as Redman, Kool Keith, Onyx and Pavan ‘Orifice Vulgatron’ Mukhi from Foreign Beggars.
