IMOGEN HEAP ROUNDS OFF MYCELIA WORLD TOUR IN EUROPE

Imogen Heap Rounds Off
Mycelia World Tour in Europe

  • UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands form third and final leg
  • Tour continues to Showcase the Creative Passport – promoting a fair and flourishing future for the Music Industry

London, May 01, 2019: Globally renowned tech innovator and award-winning recording artist Imogen Heap, recognised for creative works including Hide and Seek and Tiny Human, has announced that she will round off her world tour back where she started it, in Europe.

Her first world tour in eight years, Heap has spent the last six months bringing together music makers, fans and the industry through concerts, talks and workshops to officially launch Mycelia’s Creative Passport. Realising a vision of the future, this premium digital identity standard enables music makers to control and manage their data through the creation of a verified database which contains discographies, personal information, acknowledgements, works and business partners. Unique to each person, it promotes template‘smart contracts’ to speed up payments and encourage meaningful creative and commercial partnerships.

As she prepares to kick off the US part of the tour, Heap has announced she will begin the third and final leg of the tour in November where she will visit key cities in the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Events in each city will feature some or all of these elements:

  •  Live intimate concerts performed both solo by Imogen Heap and with electronic duo Frou Frou collaborator Guy Sigsworth – touring together for the first time since 2003.
  • Creative Passport workshops connecting the Mycelia tour with the local music and tech community to profile the development of the Creative Passport and to grow the database

Heap said: “Thanks to everyone we’ve collided with, It has been a fantastic adventure over the last six months with my family, the band and the team in and around the shows, conferences and workshops we’ve done so far. For the next two months we are on the North America leg, where we are feeling a swell of support and action around The Creative Passport. After this, we are back in Europe and rounding off the tour at The Roundhouse, one of my absolute favourite venues.

Last time I played there, it was five years ago for Reverb, a four day contemporary music and tech festival I’d curated, where I featured the Mi.Mu gloves in their first full length concert and also a seven month old bump! It was due to be the start of the Sparks tour but life took a surprise turn, as it does! Five years on, we are touring now as a family and the gloves we’ve developed are up for pre-order! Exciting times. Can’t wait to be back on stage at The Roundhouse. Perhaps I’ll take a few days off after!”
