Gaslight Anthem Play Manchester O2 Apollo in October!

Following their triumphant return to the UK at their incredible sold out show at KOKO  The Gaslight Anthem are excited to announce a run of UK tour dates this Autumn.  The shows are the first in support of their highly anticipated fourth album, Handwritten”, out July 23rd on Mercury Records.

The Gaslight Anthem have already performed at several major festival appearances this Summer including opening for Bon Jovi at Bamboozle in East Rutherford, NJ (May 20th); appearing at the Metallica Orion Festival in Atlantic City, NJ (June 23rd) and Lollapalooza (for the second time) at Grant Park in Chicago (August 5th).  Recent European dates included shows with Soundgarden in Paris, Berlin and Milan and several major festivals.   The band will also return to the UK later this summer to appear on the main stage at this years Reading and Leeds Festivals.

“Handwritten” -  The Gaslight Anthem’s first album on Mercury Records, was produced by two-time Grammy Award®-winner Brendan O’Brien, known for his work with Bruce Springsteen (Best Rock Album Grammy, 2002), Pearl Jam, Incubus and many others. The result is the most committed, affecting and compelling album of The Gaslight Anthem's career to date. Introduced by muscular lead-off single “45”, which received it's world premiere on BBC Radio 1 as Zane Lowe's Hottest Record In The World on April 30 (and is now on B-List rotation on the station), it finds the Jersey boys in inspired form, decanting '60's soul, '70's stadium rock, '80s hardcore and '90's grunge into eleven white-knuckle, blue-collar everyman anthems. Brian Fallon likens its incandescent electrical storms to "Tom Petty songs [being] played by Pearl Jam". Put more simply, it's a supercharged American rock 'n' roll classic.
