The Illicits are the third signing to Alan McGee’s new Creation23 label. The single ‘In What World’ will be released on 7th May 2019.
The Blackburn four-piece, who formed in 2017 and consist of George Richards (vocals), Brad Hayes (lead guitar), Joe Mitchell (bass) and Matt Cottam (drums), are pricking ears in all the right places. Their music reflects their Blackburn roots; the sound of the post-industrial north, mixing melodic guitar riffs with the grit and rawness of punk rock.
This Saturday 9th March, the video to ‘In What World’ will be premiered on Soccer AM, with a follow up live performance of the single on the show on 16th March.
Following their March and April tour supporting The Zutons, The Illicits announce their first headline show of 2019 at The Grand, Clitheroe Fri 31 May.
