2020 has been an unexpected and difficult year for everyone. When New Rules, like many of their fans, found themselves experiencing the universal sense of uncertainty, Alec, Nathan and Ryan naturally turned to their music and found that playing and making music helped with their mental health and wellbeing at this time.
Seeing covers of their songs on social media and fans sharing their journey of learning to play an instrument, they realised that many of their fans were feeling the same and were also using music to connect.
So, as we face lockdown again, New Rules have called on the support of Taylor Guitars and some friends to create a hub where people can connect and hear about talented guitar players, share their musical journeys, and learn some new songs from Alex Lanyon (Guitarist for Dua Lipa/James Bay), Jake Curran (Guitarist for Niall Horan), Thomas Totten (Guitarist for Mabel/Mae Muller) , Danny O’Reilly (The Coronas), Laoise and Wild Youth to name a few.
