HONEYMOAN HEAD TO MANCHESTER
Honeymoan are hopefully going to bring the sunshine that epitomises their sound all the way from Cape Town, South Africa on November 17th as they prepare for a date in Manchester at The Castle Hotel. Tickets are on sale now, available HERE.
After the success of, double A side singles ‘</3 / We’, the members, Alison Rachel, Josh Berry, Kenan Tatt and Skye MacInnes, jumped right into writing new songs for their forthcoming release. When vocalist Alison Rachel moved from Cape Town to Amsterdam at the end of 2017 shortly after the band was formed, the future of the proghfject was uncertain. However, after the overwhelmingly positive response of their first release in early 2018, the self-titled two track EP, they knew they had to pick up the pace. Soon after, guitarist Skye MacInnes, bassist/producer Josh Berry and drummer Kenan Tatt got straight back into the studio and the cross-continental project began.
The fruits of their labour reveal a stunning four track EP titled Body. For their highly anticipated sophomore release they put together four well-polished and thoroughly danceable tracks. The songs explore themes of technology and social media, eating disorders and unrequited lust.
Low Blow continues where We left off, with a focus on infectious bass riffs and guitar riffs that wouldn’t feel out of place on a Khruangbin record. Parallels have been drawn between Tame Impala and St. Vincent with HONEYMOAN’s latest offering. Body was recorded in the home studio of member Josh Berry in Cape Town and mastered by Greg Calbi of Sterling Sound creating a perfectly balanced soundtrack for the summer.
Honeymoan arrive in Manchester on Sunday 17th November at The Castle Hotel. Tickets are on sale now, available from HERE..
