The Magic Numbers Announce UK tour!

After a successful jaunt to SXSW and the premiering of their new song ‘Roy Orbison’ by Steve Lamacq on 6music last week, The Magic Numbers announce an autumn tour of the UK.

Armed with a new album that will be released on Caroline/Universal this summer, The Magic Numbers kick off their tour in Glasgow on Wednesday 10th September, taking in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol (amongst others) before their final show at London’s Forum on September 25th.

The Magic Numbers are a UK-based four-piece comprising two pairs of brothers and sisters who are known for their unique harmonies, melodic hooks, songwriting craftsmanship and timeless sound. The band first found fame in 2005 with their self-titled debut, which contained hit singles ‘Forever Lost’, ‘Love Me Like You’ and ‘Love’s A Game’ and propelled them to a Mercury Prize nomination.

 

Their second LP, ‘Those The Brokes’, followed in 2006 receiving widespread critical acclaim and their last album, 2010’s ‘The Runaway’, cemented them as household names. The band have sold over a million albums worldwide. Bassist Michele Stodart released her beautifully composed acoustic and country-inspired debut solo album, ‘Wide-Eyed Crossing’, in 2012.
