Manchester band and Key 103 winners A Band Called Jack announced to open the Paolo Nutini Show

Paolo Nutini is heading to the Castlefield Bowl in Manchester City Centre on Thursday 2nd July and following a recent KEY 103 competition to find a local support act; Manchester five piece A Band Called Jack have been chosen to open the show.

A Band Called Jack are an unsigned band who come from a thriving open mic scene in Manchester and play melodic indie folk rock music. Comprising of Coddy (vocals) Danny Vaughan (Lead Guitar) Matt Brookes (acoustic guitar) Neil Armstrong (bass) and David Sutcliffe (drums) A Band Called Jack won the competition with 52% of the final votes and beat 200 entries. Key 103 presenter Adam Catterall said “It’s going to be a superb evening in Manchester, hopefully the sun will be shining and we’ll still be enjoying a heatwave and a drink whilst watching the show. Paolo will be great and I know that ‘A Band Called Jack’ will have a great time down there, they were absolutely buzzing when they found out that they’d won this opportunity, against some really strong artists. We’re looking forward to seeing them perform.”

Paolo Nutini’s headline show at the iconic Castlefield Bowl follows an incredible 12 months since his acclaimed third album ‘Caustic Love’ went straight in at number 1, quickly reaching platinum status and cementing Paolo Nutini as one of the country’s leading artists.

Following an enchanting Glastonbury performance at the weekend Lianne La Havas will also join Paolo Nutini as special guest for this special outdoor show.
