“The four South African brothers are laying waste to America with this swampy, accordion-driven stomp” - Sunday Times

KONGOS were recently surprised during their appearance on the Today show in the US by being presented with a platinum disc for their US smash-hit ‘Come With Me Now’. A no.1 single on the Alternative chart and a huge hit on the Billboard Hot 100, it is fast becoming a staple on UK radio, championed regularly on Radio 1 by huge fan Fearne Cotton it has now added to the XFM daytime playlist and is on the A-list at Absolute Radio.

‘Come With Me Now’ is now released in the UK on September 21st, the same day as their critically-acclaimed debut album ‘Lunatic’.

‘Lunatic’ has already been turning heads with Q excited by its, “dark tribal stomp,” and Classic Rock enthralled by the, “chanty choruses, breathless rhythms and the kind of tribalist stomp to set festivals alight.” In fact KONGOS are quickly becoming one of the most exciting alternative rock bands of 2014, with an analogue depth and distorted take on Americana that’s been described by the Daily Telegraph as, “Mumford & Sons jamming Crowded House and Kings Of Leon covers with Arcade Fire in a Soweto after-hours drinking den”.

Following on from their sold-out London shows at Birthdays and Tram & Social in June, the Billboard record-breaking KONGOS return with a headline show at the capital’s Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on October 23rd and a full European arena tour, including London’s O2, as main support to One Republic.

“A riot of growly vocals, handclaps, foot stomps and a chanty chorus [with] the rhythmical whomp of dance music…  taking the US alternative charts by storm” – The Guardian
