JAMES ANNOUNCE SUMMER IN THE CITY WARM-UP SHOW IN OXFORD

Ahead of taking over Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl on Friday 11th July for the first ever Summer In The City, James have announced a very special warm up show at O2 Academy Oxford on Thursday 10th July.

James return June 2nd with ‘La Petite Mort’, their first new full length album in six years and ranks amongst the band’s best. Highlights include the mighty, forthcoming single ‘Moving On’, the 6Music playlisted taster ‘Frozen Britain’ and ‘Curse Curse’. The album is produced by Max Dingel (Killers, Muse, White Lies) and written, as ever, by the band with lyrics by Tim Booth.

Manchester’s finest, James, will also play a very special sold out, intimate show at London’s Electric Ballroom on Wednesday May 28th which has sold out in five minutes after going on sale last week. It’s the first time in their illustrious 30 year career that they have ever played the venue.

Since forming in 1982, James are, without doubt, one of Britain’s most influential bands. Their classic hits include ‘Sit Down’, ‘She’s A Star’, ‘Laid’ and ‘Getting Away With It (All Messed Up)’ amongst their 20 top 40 UK singles. They have released 12 studio albums and have sold over 12 million albums worldwide.
