American hip hop icons Dilated Peoples have confirmed a very special one off London show at XOYO on Tuesday 18th August 2015.
After an eight-year hiatus, Dilated Peoples returned last year with Directors Of Photography, the group’s remarkable debut album under the Expansion Team/Rhymesayers Entertainment banner. Receiving critical acclaim the new collection demonstrates each member’s individual strengths and shows that the crew’s chemistry has only improved. They have indeed graduated to another level of skill and proficiency. The trio’s new album shows how the group has been able to remain loyal to its signature sound, style and sentiment while adding new and dramatic artistic wrinkles to its already-extensive musical repertoire. Over Evidence’s piano and drum-driven beat for “Directors,” Evidence and Rakaa showcase a series of razor-sharp rhymes that are accented by some choice scratching from DJ Babu.
The group have released four acclaimed albums, toured extensively and enjoyed sustained success as solo artists. Hitting London in August Dilated Peoples will play an exclusive date at XOYO on Tuesday 18th August and their renowned live show will be supported by one of the UK’s finest MC’s Burgundy Blood.
